With over two decades of experience in education, Craig Hockenberry is the superintendent of the Three Rivers Local School District, which he joined in 2015. In the role, Craig Hockenberry draws on experience working with several school districts, where he has overseen the tutelage of thousands of students while leading countless education professionals.

During his time in the position, Dr. Hockenberry has been responsible for creating career academies for the schools while also developing the Boardwalks program for the entire district. He also brought the Rutherford Learning Group into the district to help develop its principals while also improving overall student performance.

Before this, Craig Hockenberry held a similar position for two years at the Manchester Local Schools District, which had over 1,000 students and was one of the poorest school districts in the state.

For 15 years, he was the principal of Oyler School, which was classified as an “academic emergency” when he first joined. Over the following years, Dr. Hockenberry improved the school’s performance, eventually leading to it being reclassified as in “continuous improvement.”
